Sierra School of Performing Arts has been presenting a variety of theatrical productions since 2006. Until recently, all our shows have had casts of both adults and young actors, of all experience levels. Our first production, Wonderland: the Misadventures of a Girl Named Alice, was presented at Galena High School. We then embarked on a series of musical revue-type shows called Broadway Bits, as well as Shakespeare-based original plays called Love Stinks and Foolish Mortals, at venues such as Pioneer Underground, Damonte High School, and UNR. We also presented a Murder mystery/comedy based on the game “Clue”: the Dinner Party. Since 2013, SSPA has presented Broadway musicals at the beautiful Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch every August (except 2020). In 2018, we added an all-youth production to our season. We continue to produce popular, family friendly Broadway musicals every summer, as well as a youth production in the fall or winter. Visit our Showspage for information about upcoming or current productions.
