These classes are designed for actors who want to improve on or start their journey in acting for the stage. We offer classes for as young as 5 years old! Students will enhance their abilities in performing as well as gain confidence for the stage and auditions through games, exercises, and scene work. We encourage trying one of our classes and joining our talented community!

These classes are designed for musical theater performers who want to improve on their dancing, acting, and/or singing.  Each will prepare students to ace their auditions and be more comfortable performing in musical theater productions. Three formats to choose from! We highly encourage taking one or all of the classes or workshops to prepare for college or local theater auditions.

Acting Fundamentals for Teens

Acting and scene study the focus of this class for the teen who wants to learn or improve their acting skills. Through theater games, acting exercises, and scripted monologue and scene work, budding actors will learn the basics of character, concentration, listening, reacting, and performance.
Instructor: Holly Natwora
Ages: 13 and up
When: Thursdays 6:30-8pm
Duration: 8-week series

Little Sprouts!
Adventures in Creative Drama

Does your child love to act and pretend? Harnessing that wonderful world of imagination can be a powerful tool for building skills in many essential developmental areas. In this fun and popular class, your child will practice social skills, concentration, and problem solving while diving into games designed to encourage exploration and imagination. Children will express themselves through performance, music, movement, and acting out stories, familiar and new. The kiddos will have the opportunity to perform for parents on the last day of class.

Broadway Song and Dance!
An introduction to Musical Theater Performance

Venture into the world of Broadway musicals in this fun, high-energy class! Students will improve their skills at singing and dancing while learning at least one number from a popular Broadway musical with the emphasis on choreography! This is great preparation for musical theater auditions. No experience necessary. Parents and friends will be treated to a presentation of - you guessed it - song and dance on the final day of class!

Ages: 9 and up
When: This class will be offered again in the fall.
Duration: 8-week series

Workshops

Triple Threat Weekend Intensive Series

This workshop is for performers who want to improve their skills to prepare for musical theater auditions. On three consecutive Saturdays, we will cover the basics: you will work on choreography; singing and performing a musical theater song; and finally, acting and performing a monologue in character. With individual coaching and feedback, you will discover your talents, and your strengths and weaknesses so you can be competitive at auditions. We highly encourage taking this series to prepare for auditions for summer musicals. (Our auditions for The Producers will be on March 21 & 22.)
Jazz or character shoes are encouraged for the choreography workshop.

Ages: 12 (Grade 5) and up (or by consent of instructor | Adults encouraged to join us

Broadway Musical Choreography Workshop
​part of our Triple Threat Weekend Intensive Series - see above

In this three-hour workshop, you will learn two or three dance numbers from popular Broadway musicals, incorporating different characters in each, as well as cover basic dance techniques that are  common in musical theater. We also cover how to approach a dance audition.

Broadway Triple Threat: 
​Voice and Performance

For singers who want to act and actors who want to sing, or anybody who wants to try, this class will focus on the fundamentals of vocal technique, ear training, stage presence - plus everything it takes to perform a song in character on stage. You will not only strengthen your voice but gain confidence to sing in front of a small audience, while presenting the song from the character’s point of view. You may choose to work on any song from pop/musical to standard Broadway style, with backing track, piano accompaniment or a capella. You'll receive individual as well as group coaching in voice and “acting the song” by our instructors. The class will culminate with a final performance showcase. Please come to the vocal class with a song you've selected to sing.

Ages: 10 and up (you'll be grouped by age)

Coming Fall of 2025:

Curtain Up! 

Get your acting game on in this class that combines theater games, improvisation, and acting basics.  If you love theater and want to "play", this class is for you! 
Ages: 10-14  (or by consent of instructor)
When: TBD (will be offered in the fall)
Duration: 8-week series (Drop in first class only)
Cost: $185  (financial assistance available)

Scene Study:
Acting Fundamentals for Adults 

This class, for students at all levels of experience from beginner to professional, uses a scene-study format to explore concepts and techniques such as beats, objectives, and script analysis. We will touch on various aspects of acting, including character development, movement, and how to work with a director and other actors. Warm ups will include movement work and improvisation. Students will have an opportunity to perform scenes in front of an invited audience at the end of the 8-week workshop. 

Ages: 18 and up
