Sierra School of Performing Arts has announced the auditions for our summer musical, The Wizard of Oz. The production will be based on a script created by the Royal Shakespeare Company and closely follows the story made famous by the 1939 Oscar-winning movie. It includes all the favorite musical numbers, such as “Over the Rainbow,” Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” and “Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead.”

Auditions will be held:
Wednesday, April 13th
Dance audition 5:30-6:45 pm, Acting audition 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Sunday, April 17th
Dance audition 1:00-2:30 pm, Acting audition 2:45-6:00 pm

Location: South Reno United Methodist Church, 200 DeSpain Lane, Reno, NV 89511

Auditions are open to men, women, and children in the 4th grade and up. We will be looking for actors, singers, and dancers. All those auditioning wishing to be part of ensemble dance numbers must attend the dance audition. You only need to come to one of the two audition dates. A video of the dance you will need to perform will be posted on our Audition page by April 1st.

Immediately following the dance audition, we will begin acting auditions for those who have prepared a song and monologue. For auditions, please prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue, memorized, and one verse of a song from a Broadway musical which shows off your voice, range, and personality. The acting/singing auditions are all scheduled time slots. You will need to sign up for an audition time on the Audition page of our website. Click here to go to the Audition page. Break a leg!

This is the only type of art in which I have been having good interest from a long time. There is really something special about this art work. Only few people are having knowledge about this type of art.
