Into the Woods
August 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26 & 27
Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater
September 8-11 at Reno Little Theater
All shows at 7:30 pm

Join us for a magical night of entertainment as we venture Into the Woods and explore this unusual mishmash of classic fairy tales, told with Broadway flair. Famous fairy tale characters from the Brothers Grimm step outside their traditional stories in this modern classic about wishes and their consequences. Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Into the Woods features "some of Sondheim’s wittiest lyrics as well as achingly beautiful melodies." (The Hollywood Reporter, July 27, 2019) This will be a musical treat not to be missed. Tickets on sale in June.

August 12-27 performances will take place at the
Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater, Bartley Ranch
6000 Bartley Ranch Road, Reno

September 8-11 performances will take place at Reno Little Theater, Pueblo St., Reno

Duration: Our performances are approximately 2 hours,  with one 15-minute intermission.
Latecomers may be held at the gate before being able to enter, while the actors use the isles and side entrances to start the show.

Gates open at 6:45 pm
Show starts at 7:30 pm

All online ticket sales end at 1:00 pm the day of the performance. Unsold seats will be available for purchase at the Amphitheater box office before the show up until 7:20pm, but we cannot guarantee availability; we do sell out, so reserve in advance!

COVID-19

We are not posting audience protocols at this time, as the situation may change by August. Current guidelines do not require masks for outdoor events such as our performances at the Hawkins Amphitheater. If you have not been vaccinated, SSPA recommends that you wear a mask to our performance. Check back for mask requirements at Reno Little Theater, an indoor venue.

Thank you for your cooperation. Our top concern is the safety of our patrons and our actors and production crew.

Tickets and Sales Policies/Details:

How to get tickets and pay: Clicking on the little ticket icon below will take you to the Ticketing through Reno Little Theater, where you will see an active seating chart and be able to choose your seats, and pay by credit card or other method of payment. (Please note: the "Choose my own seats" option is a button you have to click on. It is easily missed, and if you don't click on that - it will choose your seats for you. It is much easier to choose your seats if you are using a non-mobile device.) You can choose to print your tickets at home or bring the scannable ticket with barcode on your phone (not just the confirmation email). We will not have will call tickets at the box office, unless you are a VIP ticket holder. If you are planning on buying or picking up tickets at the box office, we recommend you arrive early. We don’t want you to miss a minute of the show! If you forget to bring your ticket, or can't find it on your phone, don't worry! We've got you covered! Just visit us in the box office and show your photo ID. We have a master list of all ticket holders.
or:
Advance ticket purchasers: please check in at the box office to pick up your ticket.

Refunds: All sales are final and non-refundable. However, if a show is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, tickets may be exchanged for an alternate performance date or refunded through our ticket service. In the event of wildfire smoke, our experience has been that the smoke is often worse during the day, but the evenings usually clear. We hesitate to cancel early - we wait to the last minute to cancel!  We reserve the right to have a 30-minute rain or smoke delay for any performance before continuing the show. If after 30 minutes of the start time of the show, it starts to rain or the smoke gets worse and a decision is made to cancel, the announcement will be made from the stage. Exchanges are subject to availability and restrictions may apply.

Children and lap sitters: As a courtesy to everyone in our audience, we ask that you keep children seated and out of the aisles during the performance. Children 2 years of age and younger may sit on an adult's lap in a regular reserved seat (not premium or VIP) without having to purchase a separate ticket.
