Sierra School of Performing Arts holds auditions throughout the year depending on the number and type of productions we are presenting. Auditions are open to kids in grades 4 and up and to adults of all ages. Those wishing to audition for our musical productions should prepare a 1-minute monologue and 16 bars of music.” For all other auditions the instructions may vary so check the packet for details. SPOTLIGHT ON TALENT! AUDITIONS: MARCH 4, 2012

Sierra School of Performing Arts is holding auditions for "Spotlight on Talent!", Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sparks Methodist Church, 1231 Pyramid Way, Sparks, NV 89431. We are proud of the incredible talent we have here in northern Nevada and so we are producing a special evening to showcase your talents and give you the spotlight! "Spotlight on Talent!" auditions will be available to all ages 10 and older. Auditions are open to solos, duets, singing ensembles, musical scenes, short acting scenes, stand-up comedy, pantomimes, and dance acts.

Those auditioning should come prepared to perform whatever act, song , monologue, scene, duet or comedy piece they plan to do in the show. Solos, duets, musical scenes, and dance acts, short (up to 3 minutes) acting scenes, singing ensembles, stand-up comedy and pantomimes are eligible to audition. If you need musical accompaniment, please bring your CD or Ipod with you to the audition. There will not be a piano at the theatre. You may bring an instrument to accompany you. Please bring a headshot, resume and the attached audition form (signed by a parent if you are a minor) to the audition.

"Spotlight on Talent!" will be a fundraiser for Sierra School of Performing Arts. The evening will include a silent auction, no-host bar and of course, entertainment! The show is set for April 29, 2012. Doors open at 5:30p. Show is from 6p-8p at Cargo inside CommRow in downtown Reno. This event will be open to all ages.
