LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Welcome to Sierra School of Performing Arts (SSPA). Our school started with a vision to create a school that would give children and adults in northern Nevada the opportunity to perform, sing, act, dance and improvise. Since its inception, we have mounted full-scale productions, summer camps and individual classes.

Our company strives to provide outstanding and innovative performances along with exceptional educational and outreach programs. Auditions for major performances are open to the general public. Summer camps are open to kids entering grades 4-12, and our individual classes are open to everyone although some classes may be age restricted.

Each performance, camp or class at the Sierra School of Performing Arts is taught by professional directors, choreographers, musical and vocal directors. Our resident Artistic Director is Janet Lazarus and she has been joined by guest artist instructors including Rosine Bene, director of the Sierra Nevada Ballet, Mary Bennett, managing director at Bruka Theater, choreographers Adam Whitney and Padma Rothchild, and numerous voice teachers.

Sierra School of Performing Arts is a non-profit 501- (c) (3) organization. Donations to our school are 100% tax deductible and will help to ensure a creative outlet and theatrical education is provided for our children and our community.

Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraiser "SPOTLIGHT ON TALENT!" It was a very successful event and we look forward to doing it again next year!
